And an all-new full-hybrid drivetrain combines a super-efficient V-6 gasoline engine with a pair of electric motors powerful enough to drive the vehicle without gasoline assist in many circumstances — seamlessly blending vigorous acceleration with virtuous fuel economy1 and Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle certification. The ML 350 BlueTEC starts with cleaner combustion of its diesel fuel, and finishes by converting nitrogen oxide emissions into pure, harmless nitrogen and oxygen. The new ML 450 HYBRID can move under 100% electric power when you’re parking, braking or coasting, in stop-and-go traffic, or even when taking off from a stop.
